CREODEX DMCA TAKEDOWN POLICY

At Creodex (“we,” “our,” or “us”), we respect the intellectual property rights of creators and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and related copyright legislation. If you believe your work has been used on our platform without permission, you may submit a formal DMCA Takedown Request.
Note: This process applies only to copyright infringement claims. For other issues (e.g., fraud, harmful content, impersonation), please refer to our Harmful Content Reporting Policy.
1. Who Can Submit a DMCA Request
Only the copyright owner or their authorized agent may file a DMCA notice. Submitting false or misleading claims may result in legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
2. Required Information in a DMCA Request
To ensure your claim is valid and processable, you must provide:
2.1 Your Contact Information
- Full Name
- Company Name (if applicable)
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Country of Residence
2.2 Details of the Copyrighted Work
- Description of the original work (e.g., article, video, image, software)
- Link to the original source (if available)
- Upload proof of ownership (e.g., copyright certificate, publication details)
2.3 Details of the Alleged Infringement
- Description of how the content is being used without your consent
- Direct link(s) to the infringing content on Creodex
- Optional: Upload screenshots or documentation of the misuse
2.4 Good Faith Declaration
- A signed statement confirming your belief that the use is unauthorized
- Acknowledgement that false claims may lead to legal action
2.5 Legal Statement & Signature
- You must declare under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
- You authorize Creodex to share this notice (including your contact details) with the user responsible for the alleged infringement
3. What Happens After You Submit a DMCA Notice
- Review: We evaluate all DMCA requests within 5 business days.
- Removal: If the claim is valid, we will remove or restrict access to the infringing content.
- Notification: The alleged infringer will be notified and given an opportunity to respond.
- Counter-Notification: If a user believes the removal was in error, they may file a DMCA Counter-Notification.
4. DMCA Counter-Notification (For Users)
If your content was taken down and you believe this was a mistake, you may submit a Counter-Notification. It must include:
- Your contact information
- A clear statement under penalty of perjury that the content was wrongfully removed
- Consent to jurisdiction in Alberta, Canada (or your location) for any legal disputes
Upon receiving a valid Counter-Notification, Creodex may restore the content after 10 business days, unless the original claimant initiates legal action.
